Albion Football Club

International Player Registration (ITC) Process

Albion FC welcomes international players and recognizes the important role sport plays in helping youth connect, build friendships, and adapt to a new environment.

As a member club of BC Soccer, operating under Canada Soccer and FIFA regulations, Albion FC must comply with all international transfer rules designed to protect youth players.

Who Requires an ITC

Any international student aged 10 to 17 must receive an approved International Transfer Certificate (ITC) through Canada Soccer before being eligible to participate in any Albion FC program.

Important Information

  • ITC approval is mandatory prior to any on-field participation, including training sessions or games.

  • Processing times vary and may take several weeks to several months.

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.

  • Players are strongly encouraged to de-register from their home club before submitting their application to avoid delays.

  • Upon completion of their time in Canada, players must request de-registration of their ITC before returning to their home country.

Required Documentation

Applicants must provide the following:

  • Player’s passport (photo page)

  • Player’s birth certificate

  • Parent/guardian passports (both parents – photo pages)

  • Exchange program registration form (signed by player and parents)

  • Documentation outlining the exchange program (e.g., brochure or official materials)

  • Parent consent to guardianship letter

  • Guardianship letter

  • Letter from the home country school confirming:

    • Participation in an exchange program

    • Expected return to the home school

  • Letter from the Canadian school confirming:

    • Enrollment

    • Dates of attendance

  • Weekly class timetable from the Canadian school

  • Declaration letter from Albion FC confirming club details and intended registration period

Application Process

  1. Review the official Canada Soccer ITC and Minor Player Application Guide.

  2. Complete the required checklist and gather all supporting documents.

  3. Submit the application directly through the Canada Soccer process.

  4. Request an Albion FC declaration letter if required for your submission.

Responsibility

Albion FC does not complete or submit ITC applications on behalf of players.
All applications must be submitted directly by the player and/or their parent/guardian through Canada Soccer.

Albion FC is available to provide guidance; however, it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure all documentation is complete and submitted correctly.
