Volunteering

~ Albion FC Volunteer Program ~

The Albion FC’s Volunteer Program was designed to get parents involved in the club outside of spectating. Kids sports clubs are run mostly by volunteers. We need your help! Your contribution not only provides a more vibrant club & community atmosphere, but also ensures the kids receive the best playing experience. A $75 Volunteer cheque will be collected per family at the beginning of the season. This cheque will be returned to the player/parent's at the end of each season if the Volunteer Program hours have been completed.

Volunteer Hours Needed:  4 hours of volunteer time within the current season is needed to receive a full return of the Volunteer Fee.

Multiple Players in the Same Family:  If you have more than one player registered, you’re still only required to complete 4 total volunteer hours (not per player). You’ll also only pay one $75 volunteer fee per family.

Volunteer Opportunities:  The club will send emails and post on the website various Volunteer opportunities throughout the season. Volunteers will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis.  Examples of activities where volunteers have provided support are with uniform and equipment handouts, field setup, flagging, photo day marshalling, club events, fundraising and more. Activities are usually on evenings or weekends.

Coaches & Managers:  One Head Coach, One Assistant Coach, and One Manager per team automatically qualify for this program, which means you do not need to complete any other Volunteer hours to receive the full return of the Volunteer fee.

Completion of Hours:  Once your volunteer hours are completed, your cheque will be returned at the end of the season. Please keep track of hours with your coach and/or team manager.

Criminal Record Check

▲Top
All adults who work with children in our organization are required to submit to a Criminal Records Check, and we are now a part of the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP), which enables our volunteers to submit for their checks online at no cost. The Criminal Records Check must be completed every 3 years. We encourage you to complete this online application as soon as possible to ensure you will have clearance when the season begins.

When you go to the CRRP application online there will be a few questions that you will need to answer in order to prove your identity. Your responses are private and will not be delivered to our club. We will only receive the CRC result. Please use the following information to access the online CRRP Criminal Records Check.

Any information shared within this online application will be used as a profile for the position in which you are applying for. If you have any related information (cover letter, resume, profile picture) that you would like to accompany with this application please email it to our Webmaster.

Once again, thank you for being a valued Albion FC volunteer this season.
